Anu (Akkadian 𒀭𒀭 AN, Anu‹m› or Ilu[1]) or An (Sumerian 𒀭 AN, from 𒀭 an "Sky, Heaven")[2] is the father of the Anunna.
Triple deity[]
Anu is identified with the north ecliptic pole centered in the constellation Draco. Anu with his sons Enlil and Enki, constitute the highest divine Triple deity, personifying the three bands of constellations of the vault of the sky—the Triad of Heaven.
